Without Faith,

I heard a story once of a man who fell off the side of a cliff and as he sailed through the air somehow managed to grasp a protruding branch.

He looked up and there was no way to climb the hundred or so feet back. He looked down a thousand feet and could see no way there either.

He thought, "I guess this is a good time to talk to God."

"Is there anyone up there?"

A voice returned "Yes."

"Are you God?"

The voice replied, "Yes."

"Can you help me?" the man asked.

"Yes." came the reply.

"Well, what happens now?" the desperate man asked.

"Firstly, do you trust me?", God asked.

"Yes, sure," said the man.

God answered, "let go of the branch."

The man looked up into heavens and shouted, "Anyone else up there?"

It is impossible to please God.
The story illustrates a point about faith. If we don't put our faith in God, we will look elsewhere to put it. Man has to believe. It's in our nature to believe. When faith is stolen from our lives we fall apart.
Biggest robbery of the century is the robbery of faith.
When we fall away from faith we fall away from God.

SHOUT!
